We live within our own delusions of what we believe to be ourselves. Nature is not honest. It does not allow the mating procedures of attraction and repulsion to be played out in our conscious mind, though we seem to think it is. The survival of the species is far too serious to be left within the realms of the thinking mind. Particularly the male whose state of arousal is directly connected between genitalia and brain. The female brain works separately to her sexual function. We still try and get on.
