From Hags book ‘How Things Are’

‘We hold our world in our hands, and when we are extinct it will not matter what we thought we held. Something else will evolve. It is so sad that we have the capability of calming the violence of humanity, and yet we fail to utilise this. The technology and resources to solve our problems of poverty and disease are available to us and yet we fail even to pursue this as a goal. We spend as much money every year on armaments as is needed to eradicate these problems forever. We prefer greed and paranoia to peace.’

“Life is nasty, brutish and short
– John Locke.”  1632-1704
