Hag made an earlier picture in 1974 where he also used this idea. The lane down to Eccup Reservoir Leeds UK is near to where he lived from the ages of 11 to 19.

This has now been added to this site as a homage to Jerry Ulsemann here.

The portrait is of Derek Noy who at the time had a  band called ‘Noys Band’. It was due for release entitled  ‘Strange Terrain’ in the 1980’s. This did not happen. It was finally released in 2010  under the band name of Jan Dukes De Grey the name of Derek Noys original Prog Rock band which had been popular in the late1960’s and has since developed a cult following.

Noys Band 1973

Dereck Noy, the guy without a shirt, had formed the Noys Band after the success of his Jan Dukes de Grey. This was to promote the tour of ‘The 13 o’clock collection’ hence the clock.

From left to right there is Maurice McElroy drums, Fiona Percussion & Stylaphone, Patrick Dean lead guitar, Dereck Noy guitar vocals songs  & the bass player Colin. The cat was called Humphrey
