I Feel a Bit Normal Today

Brighton UK 1987

What is a normal feeling? One that makes us feel normal? Good question.  (from Hags book ‘How Things Are’)

This structure in Brighton bearing the graffiti was destroyed in the 1987 storm shortly after I took the above picture. It was subsequently re-built and somebody returned, I now know not the original graffiti artist, and wrote, “I still feal [sic] normal”.

The below photographs were taken in 1988 on a dull day.

On the right of the above picture is the Brighton Grand Hotel where on the 12 October 1984 at 2:54 am (BST) the IRA detonated a bomb. Margaret Thatcher narrowly escaped the blast and five people were killed and many more injured during the UK Conservative Party’s annual conference.
